Qualified Ayurvedic doctors will be available in the store for advice on ailments and treatments. Walk in diagnosis with the help of Nadi-Pariksha (Pulse diagnosis) as well as Oil massages are a important part of the store's facility.
Grand opening was celebrated on 21st September in the presence of popular Bollywood singer Asha Bhosale, veteran industrialist Dr. P. Chabbria, TV Actor Dr. Amol Kohle, and renowned scientist Prof. Dr. R. Mashelkar.
Santulan team including Dr. Balaji and Veena Tambe and their sons Sanjay & Sunil Tambe were also present at the ribbon-cutting ceremony and the inauguration of the shop which concluded at the famous Balgandharva Auditorium on the same evening. At the overcrowded hall - about 4000 people- eagerly participated in the programme and enjoyed the interesting discussions and speeches given by Dr. Tambe and his renowned guests.

Dr. Mashelkar mentioned the need of opening 1000 such stores per year in India alone. He offered Dr. Balaji Tambe all his support in making the idea successful. Dr. Mashelkar is chairman of the "globalising ayurveda" committee under AYUSH at the government of India. He stressed the need of promoting Ayurveda in each corner of the country before its globalisation.
The resounding success of Santulan abroad (it has already opened 3 similar stores in Germany in the past years) and the cutting edge Ayurveda clinic (Atma Santulan) operated by Dr. Tambe at Karla/India are a proof of todays growing demand for Ayurvedic science.

To make all the aspects of high quality Ayurveda products and services available to Indian citizens in the modern cities, Santulan plans to open more such stores in coming months within India.
